Job Title: Lead Business Analyst – General Insurance Transformation
Location: Greater Dublin / Wexford Area (Hybrid – occasional travel required)
Salary: 95-100K DOE + benefits package (flexible full-time or part-time options available)

About the Role Hiring on behalf of a client seeking a Lead Business Analyst to partner with senior leadership and drive business transformation initiatives across a major general insurance operation. Reporting to the Head of Business Architecture & Operational Excellence, you’ll embed architecture principles into project delivery, champion operational excellence, mentor the BA team, and ensure solutions are sustainable, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead elicitation, analysis, and documentation of complex business requirements, aligning with strategic objectives and target operating models.
  • Apply and adapt delivery methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Lean) to suit project needs.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and elicitation sessions (onsite/virtual).
  • Produce high-quality artefacts (Epics, User Stories, solution designs) with full traceability and prioritisation.
  • Manage requirement risks, dependencies, and traceability matrices.
  • Support testing, implementation, training, and post-go-live activities, including benefit realisation.
  • Establish and govern BA standards, best practices, and quality assurance across projects.
  • Collaborate on business architecture: process modelling, capability mapping, gap analysis.
  • Identify and lead process improvements focused on efficiency, customer experience (TNPS/retention), and operational excellence using Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Mentor and develop other Business Analysts, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) + 8+ years in business analysis / transformation roles.
  • Strong general insurance domain experience (personal/commercial lines, policy administration, claims).
  • Proven leadership in complex projects with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Expert in requirements techniques, process modelling, and traceability.
  • Hands-on JIRA experience (user stories, backlog management).
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on measurable business value and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable in Agile, Waterfall, and Lean environments.
